How Does CoolSculpting Elite Work?

Tired of stubborn fat that won’t go away no matter how much you exercise? CoolSculpting is a method of fat reduction that uses a controlled cooling process to selectively target and reduce fat cells in specific areas of the body. CoolSculpting Elite is the latest version of that CoolSculpting treatment, and it uses more advanced laser technology. But how does CoolSculpting Elite work? Let’s take an in-depth look at CoolSculpting Elite and what the whole process looks like.

How Does CoolSculpting Elite Work?

CoolSculpting Elite works by selectively targeting and killing fat cells in certain areas of the body. The fat cells are directly cooled to the point where they start to crystallize. This process is beneficial for two reasons: firstly, the crystallized fat cells will die, and secondly, the fat cells that are not crystallized will no longer receive blood. When blood flow is cut off, it is only a matter of time before they die off as well.

It is also advantageous because it does not damage the surrounding tissue. This ensures a more natural look with minimal bruising.

As the damaged cells die off, the body naturally eliminates them and provides you with a more sculpted and slimmer appearance.

The CoolSculpting Elite Process

After identifying the areas of the body where fat reduction is desired, Dr. Shauna Diggs, our board-certified dermatologist, will use a specially designed applicator to apply controlled cool technology to the treatment area. The applicator will be set to a specific temperature and then placed on the skin. From there, the fat cells beneath the skin are frozen. And don’t worry about damage to your skin as only the fat cells are targeted.

How Long Does the CoolSculpting Elite Process Take?

The CoolSculpting Elite process takes around an hour to complete. However, the treatment time varies from person to person. It depends on how much fat needs to be treated and how many areas you’re looking to have done. Noticeable results typically show up within 2 to 3 months.
